Michael Butler is a skilled strategist, evaluator, andÌýcommunity engagement consultant with 30 years of experience working with public agencies, foundations, nonprofits, membership associations, universities, and school districts. He also worked to embed program evaluation and key performance indicator metrics into the firm’s strategic planning model.Ìý

MichaelÌýcofounded and served as vice president of Public Works, Inc., a nonprofit organization headquartered in Pasadena, California, dedicated to improving the effectiveness of public schools and nonprofits serving marginalized children, youth, and families. His work there centered on enhancingÌýequitableÌýaccess to high-quality education,Ìýintegrating health-related social needs and other wraparound supports, and using research and program evaluation data to scale best practices.Ìý

MichaelÌýearned his master’s degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an undergraduate degree from Occidental College. He was a research fellow at the RAND Corporation and is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s executive program in social innovation through the Price School of Public Policy.Ìý
