Matthew Olson is a healthcare technology and revenue cycle leader with more than two decades of experience working with hospitals and health systems to drive operational and financial transformation. His expertise includes revenue cycle optimization, patient access enhancement, and enterprise-level technology solution deployment.
Before joining ºìÁì½í¹Ï±¨ (ºìÁì½í¹Ï±¨), Matthew served as vice president of digital customer enablement at R1 RCM, end-to-end revenue cycle vendor. In that role, he directed the design and implementation of patient experience-focused intake technology at over 400 arrival points across 129 facilities as they were incorporated into a larger health system. This eliminated the need for more than 900 registration roles and drove $40 million in annual cost savings without compromising reimbursement or reported patient satisfaction.
Leveraging his technological skills, Matthew has demonstrated success managing revenue cycles for billion-dollar healthcare facilities and health systems, including multi-million-dollar turnarounds. At a 375-bed safety net hospital, he drove $28 million in first-year cash acceleration benefit and net revenue improvement. He also managed a cash acceleration initiative for a $2 billion organization that generated more than $12 million in balance sheet and income statement benefits.
Matthew earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a certificate in business from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
