Diana Rodin has more than 20 years of experience conducting policy analysis and program evaluation, developing programs and providing implementation technical assistance related to public health, healthcare and economic supports. She has a particular focus on reproductive health and programs that cross the traditional boundaries of healthcare, public health, and social services to meet the basic needs that support health.
With ºìÁì½í¹Ï±¨ (ºìÁì½í¹Ï±¨), Diana conducts qualitative case study research and policy analysis for government and foundation clients, covering a range of topics including maternal and child health programs. From 2013 to 2018, she participated in the federal evaluation of enhanced perinatal care models in Medicaid, including birth center care and group prenatal care, through the Strong Start for Mothers and Newborns Initiative. She also led the development of a study examining strategies to increase access to postpartum care and supports resulting from that evaluation, published in the Journal of Women’s Health in 2019, and has examined community public health-based models of perinatal care and supports that include midwifery, group prenatal care, and doula services.
Diana is an experienced grant writer, program developer and strategic planner working in collaboration with health and human services organizations. She provides technical assistance to community-based organizations, supporting state efforts to reduce racial disparities in infant mortality, and to community-based health consortia to develop multi-sectoral health improvement efforts. Diana previously worked for a state Medicaid director’s office and a public health-focused communications firm.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and a master’s degree in health policy and management from the University of California Berkeley School of Public Health.
